Becoming a Member

To be eligible for membership with the Canadian Public Relations Society, applicants must devote most of their paid work to the practice of public relations, have a degree in public relations, or be a career teacher or administrator engaged in public relations/communications education at a recognized post-secondary institution.

As a member of CPRS Nova Scotia you join one of the most exciting PR communities in Canada. Membership within CPRS-NS is your best means for meeting and making contact with peers, future employers, partners and mentors in Nova Scotia. Making the most of your CPRS NS membership can be summed up in two words: join in.

To receive the full value of your membership attend our regular professional development sessions, participate in our Learning Circle, attend the Gemstones or volunteer on a committee. And don't forget your CPRS directory, many members tell us that the directory alone is
worth the cost of membership.

Your membership with CPRS-NS is what you make it!

Initial membership with CPRS (NS) is $336.20 - this includes a one-time administration fee and drops to $283.20/year with your second year of membership.

Full online membership enrolment is coming soon to our national website. Also in the coming months, CPRS National will be adding new functionality to their website http://www.cprs.ca/ to provide members with:

  • Options to update membership information in the member directory online
  • Online payment of membership dues
